Little Dancer, Aged Fourteen Sculpture
Inspired by the ballet dancers of the Paris Opéra, Impressionist artist Edgar Degas (1834–1917) explored the dynamics of movement within the human figure. Little Dancer captures the tension between art and life with a sublime measure of poignancy and compassion. This reproduction of the bronze original (1879–1881) is cast in bronze. It measures 17-1/2”h and is presented on a 3-1/2”w x 9”l base.
