Songbird Polychrome Tile
The Songbird tile was produced in the ancient Spanish tile-making process known as “ceunca,” meaning basin – the term refers to the small raised lines of clay that make up the “basins” into which the glaze is deposited. The glaze is pooled by hand with a glaze bulb. Created by Motawi Tileworks of Ann Arbor with locally produced clay and glazes, each tile is unique. Notch on back for hanging. Jade. Approx. 4” x 8”.
